Collected and delivered today, a UV bonded, countertop glass box for @thecuratortotnes. This method of connecting glass requires very precise cutting of the glass to create an accurate and invisible joint. The glue cures under UV light and is super strong. In fact, the glass will break before the joint. Having said that, we would break through solid steel to get to the sliders and cakes in there!

Sometimes, you come across things you don't expect to see on site, and this is one of them. Normally seen on pavements in cities, these are on a new build we are working on in Cornwall. Circular glass paving modules. Interesting system, and we're intrigued to see what they look like and the light they let in when the jib is complete.

Man, we love a crane. I mean, who doesn't. They're just awesome. This one is a Hiab from Sparrow Crane Hire, and is a particularly beautiful bit of kit. It can transport and lift so efficiently. We used it to replace a glass canopy at @thecornishbakery in Pymouth. Always a nice day when a machine does the heavy lifting.

A few images of some toughened glass infill panels for a client's timber staircase. The stair supplier couldn't manage the long stair panel in one piece, but guess who could? You're right, it was us! That's not a very hard thing to guess, given we're posting about it. Anyway, it looks great in one piece, as do the other panels, and we were glad to be able to achieve what the client wanted.

A few images of a project we installed a while ago. Four long, thin, walk-on panels, with an anti-slip top surface from @vetromadras. The panels allow light into the boat store below, and he adjacent rooms. The glass set into bespoke, mirror polished, 316 stainless-steel frames.

It's been ages since we posted anything. We've been super busy, and all spare time has been for recovery, family, and friends, but we've found a moment to stick a few of the things we've done in the last few months up here, and this is the first. One of the smaller jobs, but a nice one all the same. This is a minimal, toughened glass partition, between the client's livingroom space and gym area. Some shaping was required around a structural bulkhead, which was a simple survey job, but it's Steve's cutting-in of the channel that makes it really smart.

Some nice pics of a job from this very day. A gurt big Juliet Balcony (if you don't understand Bristolian, that means 'A very big Juliet Balcony'). Really slick looking, like a well greased Conger eel. The glass is 2950 x 1080mm and weighs 170kg. Obviously, Steve just carried it himself because he's the bionic man. In reality, it was lifted by a telehandler from @manitou_uk. A decent bit of kit. The glass is held on four 316 stainless-steel fixings.

A few more pictures from the 'Deep in the Moor' Lonsdale rooflight install that Steve has just finished up. It replaced a single-glazed rooflight, which it's fair to say was beyond its best. It has changed the space, adding more light, thermal efficiency, and creating a clean and easily maintainable system.

Steve's been getting curvy in Kernow. He's been installing some toughened and @sentryglas laminated balustrade on the North Cornwall coast. The balustrade is placed in the channel, packed to level, then we pour an exterior grout to hold it in place, and cap that off with silicone. This is part of a new development of four houses, and the first two terraces are going in as I write. Curved glass is more expensive than straight, but in the right location, it looks stunning. We'd suggest this is the right location!
