Project Description
A good looking staircase!
The client contacted us to take care of the glass balustrade for his bespoke staircase. After our initial meeting, we priced up the project and following the order returned to fit all the stainless steel button fixings to the treads and template the balustrade panels.
Once the balustrade panels were templated, we transferred these shapes to a CAD package (Computer Aided Design) and sent them for manufacture. This method allows for all the quirks that can come up on a staircase like this to be ironed out in the templating and all the panels to be physically viewed in place and agreed. It can save a lot of headaches!
Once the glass was in, we fitted it all and attached the stainless steel handrail brackets, prepared for Robin Milne (a very talented furniture maker and joiner), to fit the European Oak handrail.
We think it all looks pretty good!
