Project Description
The project was to design a simple, elegant and cost-effective balustrade, to protect the edge of the terrace area around the client’s hot-tub.
With a small project such as this, the level of detail needs to be of a very high quality and the satin stainless steel handrail we designed uses very minimal fittings, giving clean lines and the minimum fuss.
The handrail takes the strain, while the toughened glass acts as an infill, protecting anyone from falling under the handrail.
The impressive cedar pagoda, designed by BBH Architects in Dartmouth and built by TJD Construction, really works with the contrasting finishes of the glass and stainless steel, giving an architecturally dynamic look to the area.
