Project Description
This was a really interesting project, in a fantastic old building, which has allowed us to build a relationship with Vitral, producers of one of the world’s leading glass rooflight systems.
The client specified a Vitral, A74 rooflight system and asked us if we were able to take on the installation. Having spoken to Vitral, we travelled to their head office to complete the required training courses.
Following this process, we surveyed the site and produced the construction drawings for the rooflight and the bespoke aluminium flashings.
On the installation, the rooflight went in like a dream and the final look is fantastic.
One of the great advantages of the Vitral system, is the fact the units are factory sealed, giving fantastic U-Values. The system is also fully CE marked in accordance with BS/EN14351-1 and tested to EN12101-2 for full life safety smoke evacuation and in accordance with CWCT TN66/67 impact testing.
