Our latest installation and what an installation!

Ably led by Steve Ellis, this was an installation of a frameless, structural glass link in the South Hams, Devon. The glass roof was made to fit the complex area linking the old house, with the new extension. With multiple shapes (only one 90 degree corner), the survey was a very important part of this job!

Sitting between four separate roof pitches, the 600kg glass roof panel was lifted into the building by AKS International (Cranes) Ltd, supervised by Steve, then raised into position, with support angles fixed from underneath while the glass hung on suction lifters.

Once the roof was in place, the two glass wall panels were lifted into position, closing off the slim aperture between the old house and new extension.
